About the role

We are looking for a skilled IT Systems and Support Administrator to join our team. In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent first and second-level support through our ticketing system (Jira) and maintaining essential systems for our team of 120 people. You’ll need at least 2 years of helpdesk experience, with a strong focus on empathy, patience, and continuous process improvement. 

This role will have an 80/20 split, with IT support taking up the majority (80%) and system enhancement and maintenance (20%) as needed. Our team works in a macOS environment, and the ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem solver, an excellent communicator with a growth mindset, who always keeps the user experience top of mind.

Employment is subject to a National Police Check.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide IT Support first and second-level queries from all contact points (tickets, walk-ups, chat & phone)
  • Provide diagnosis, further investigation and resolution of service requests and issues
  • Manage software access provisioning, licensing and availability for our users in our SaaS systems
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding staff, including IT Induction, training of new and existing staff in new applications
  • Assist with network administration and maintenance (Wi-Fi, Switch, Firewall, patching)

Desired skills and experience

  • At least 2 years demonstrable experience in a helpdesk role
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s of Information Technology or relevant industry experience 
  • Desirable qualifications include Microsoft Entra Fundamentals, Apple certificate (ACSP) or Jamf 100
  • Knowledge of macOS, Mobile Device Management (Jamf, Intune), Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Experience troubleshooting software
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience
  • Ability to consolidate knowledge and effectively train individuals and groups
  • Be available and adaptable to support other IT Team and Operations team members through peak periods and leave/absence
