[lead]The Summer Foundation is pleased to announce the Allen Martin Research Scholarship 2016 sponsored by The Rotary Club of Kew.[/lead]
This scholarship is open to clinicians and health professionals who wish to conduct a new research project in the field of recovery following acquired brain injury. The award is valued at $5000 and needs to be utilised over a period of one year. All applications must meet the eligibility criteria and responsibilities of the scholarship which can be accessed here.

Applicants will need to submit the following information to louise.dixon@summerfoundation.org.au by COB Friday 21 October 2016 –
- Your contact details (including full name, postal address, daytime phone number, email address and qualifications)
- Project details including –
- Title of project
- Purpose of the research project in less than 150 words. Please indicate how you expect it to benefit people recovering from acquired brain injury
- Methodology, how do you intend to conduct the research project in less than 150 words
- Provide a detailed timeline of the intended data collection and data analysis for the research project
- A budget proposal for the research project, indicating how the Scholarship funds will be spent
- Please indicate if your research project will be conducted in conjunction with any other investigators, organisation or institute
- State how ethical considerations will be met
- A reference from your academic or clinical supervisor
Applications will be reviewed by the Summer Foundation Scholarship Sub Committee mid to late October 2016. The successful candidate will be announced at the Allen Martin Lecture in November 2016.
This scholarship acknowledges the work of Allen Martin who showed great dedication and support towards advancing clinical knowledge and practice for people with complex brain injury, with particular emphasis on slow stream neurological rehabilitation.
