The government is committed to supporting young people to move out of aged care.
If you support a young person living in aged care, we would like to hear from you.
What is this study about?
The aim of the research is to understand how the NDIS is supporting people to achieve their goals, particularly in relation to their housing needs and preferences. The research involves interviews with supporters of people living in aged care (e.g. support coordinator, support worker, family member, guardian, allied health worker) either by (phone or Zoom).
Why are we doing this study?
The introduction of the NDIS means that now people under 65 years of age living in aged care have more choice and control over their lives. This includes the choice of where to live and with whom. We are doing this research to find out more about the experience of living in aged care and how the NDIS is supporting people to achieve their goals. We will use the knowledge gained to improve systems and support.
Who do we want to take part?
If you are a supporter of young people living in aged care (e.g., support coordinator, support worker, family member, guardian, allied health worker), we would like to talk to you.
